What is Nonwoven Fabric? Nonwoven fabrics are broadly defined as sheet or web structures bonded together by entangling fiber or filaments (and by perforating films) mechanically, thermally, or chemically. They are flat, porous sheets that are made directly from separate fibers or from molten plastic or plastic film. They are not made by weaving or knitting and do not require converting the fibers to yarn.

The world population is around 7 billion and it is expected to reach 8 billion by 2030 and 9 billion respectively by 2050. On an average a person uses approximately 300 bags per year, therefore the current usage of bags is approximately 2 trillion. This means around 4 million bags are being used per minute across the world.
